Commercial and Classical Viola and Violin

East Nashville based violist and violinist Marie Winget has played with some of Nashville’s finest musicians on stage as well as the recording studio. Former Assistant Principal Viola of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, she has also performed with the Nashville Symphony, Richmond Symphony, Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra (violin), Chicago Civic Orchestra (principal viola), Colorado Music Festival and Peninsula Music Festival.  Active in chamber music and promoting new music, she has collaborated with musicians from the Chicago Symphony, Nashville’s Chatterbird and Composers Collective, and is a founding member of the Skyview quartet. In the commercial music realm, she has performed live at Nashville venues including the Ryman, Ascend, and Bridgestone arenas with artists such as Trisha Yearwood, Brantley Gilbert, The Who, Brothers Osborne, CeCe Winans, and in the recording studio with countless others. Marie grew up in Peoria, IL, receiving her B.A. from Princeton University and Masters in Music from Northern Illinois University where she was privileged to be the teaching assistant to Richard Young, of the Grammy winning Vermeer Quartet.
